Overview

If a credit card charge fails for any reason, or if the price of a booking increases due to applied price surcharges, we can’t automatically charge the pre-authorized credit card. A customer needs to re-trigger the payment on the Booking Details page.

Re-triggering payment

To re-trigger payment, a customer needs to click the Pay for Booking button on the Booking Details page. Then, in the pop-up window that appears, they must confirm the credit card details and go through additional authentication steps if necessary. Note that a customer can’t change the payment method to invoice or cash.

Email notifications

There's no need to proactively notify customers about outstanding payments. We'll send them an email with instructions to pay for their booking if the original payment fails or as soon as a booking with price surcharges has been operationally completed.
