Feature highlight: Pre-delivery checks

We're exploring additional and more sophisticated ways to support special delivery scenarios where a driver needs to collect information from a customer before completing a delivery. This could be a date of birth, a PIN code, or other details required to meet compliance or security requirements. The driver will be prompted to request this information and record the customer's response directly in the app.
🦾 Why this is important
The most common use case is age verification for orders containing alcohol, where compliance requires the driver to confirm the customer's age before handing over the delivery. PIN code verification solves a different problem - it ensures the person accepting the delivery is the one who actually placed the order.

We're aiming to roll this feature out in Q1 2026. We'll also be looking at other scenarios where validatable input could be useful - let us know if you have specific use cases in mind!
More features and updates
Stop Group management via Dashboard
You can now add or remove stop group names directly in the Dashboard. The stop group field appears on the Booking and Tour details page and can be edited when the stop is in a scheduled state. All roles can view the group name but only admins can make changes. Previously, this was only available via the API.
External ID support for custom stops
The Insert Custom Stop endpoint now accepts an External ID parameter. When you include an External ID, MotionTools automatically matches the stop to the most recent place for that customer, or creates a new one if none exists. This keeps your data consistent without extra work.
External Place ID Management via Dashboard
Admins and customers can now view and edit External Place IDs directly in the Dashboard. There's a new column on the Places page, and edits can be made via the External ID sub-page in Place Details. Previously, this was only available via the API.
Changing driver’s organization
Moving a driver to a different organization now works even when Payments are enabled for your tenant. This gives you more flexibility in managing your team.
Sessions & Security page
We’ve added a Sessions & Security page in the user profile, allowing users to view and manage their active sessions and review their security event history. Users can access it from the profile sidebar, and it’s available to all roles.
