This article explains how you define your Business details in the Settings of your tenant

Remember to click the Save button whenever you change any details.

Overview


General

Here, you can set your customer-facing company name, as well as your company ID that your drivers use to log into the MotionTools Driver App.

These fields will already be filled in – either because you entered this information when signing up for a free trial or because our customer success team set up a tenant for you.

You can always change the name and ID, but remember to notify your drivers after changing the ID so they can log in with the correct ID.


Legal name and address

Here, you set your legal company name and mailing address. These details will be printed on invoices the platform creates for your customers and will be used by MotionTools to invoice your business.


Bank and tax details

Bank account

Please fill in your Bank account information here, which will be used by MotionTools to invoice your business. These details can also be printed on documents the platform creates for your customers.

If you want to offer SEPA Direct Debit as a payment method to your customers, you'll also need to provide your SEPA Creditor ID, which you can request from your bank.

Tax and VAT IDs

If you want your tax and VAT IDs to appear on the documents the platform creates for your customers, please complete the Tax ID and VAT ID fields.

Tax rate display

If you want to set a tax rate in the tax rate display section, please contact our customer support team. Do not replace "%{rate}%%" with the actual number!


Help and legal URLs

If you have two or more languages enabled (e.g., English and German), you can set domains for each language to provide localized content.

Legal

Links to legal pages are displayed on the Signup dashboard screen and in mobile apps. All users are obliged to accept both Terms and conditions and Privacy policy before signing up.

By default, the required Legal URLs will be pre-filled with our MotionTools domains. Please replace these with your own domains so your employees and customers have access to all the necessary legal information about your company.

Global Help Center

A link to your Help Center is going to be available throughout the platform: from outbound emails to the mobile app.

By default, the required Help Center URL will be pre-filled with our MotionTools domain. Please replace it with your own domain so your employees and customers have access to your help center. If you don't currently have a help center, keep the URL to the MotionTools Help Center.

Customer support

Links or resources that can help your customers find answers to their questions. All support items will be visible to customers in the navigation bar of the Dashboard.

You can set a customer-specific Help Center link, a support phone number, a support email, and a Chat URL that opens a chat window with your support agent or bot.

Driver support

Links or resources that can help your drivers find answers to their questions. All support items will be visible to drivers in the side menu of the mobile app.

You can set a driver-specific Help Center link, a support phone number, a support email, and a Chat URL that opens a chat window with your support agent or bot.


Document and email footers

If you have two or more languages enabled (e.g., English and German), you can add content for each language by switching the tab (to e.g., German)

Document footer

All documents the platform creates have a 3-column footer. You can use it to print your company's legal and bank details.

By default, the columns will be filled with information you set in the 'Legal name and address' and 'Bank and tax details' sections. If you want to customize the information shown in each column, you can do so by clicking on the Fill with default content and edit button above each column preview.

You can expand the Template variables section by clicking on it to view a list of all variables that can dynamically insert your business details. When you update your business information, these changes will then automatically appear in your document footer.

Email footer

The email footer consists of two sections:

  • Support section: Consider adding a link to your Help center and the support email address

  • Copyright section: meant to be used for copyright and other similar information.

Both sections support styling with the following HTML tags: <h3>, <p> and <strong>

If you want to customize the information shown in each email footer section, you can do so by clicking on the Fill with default content and edit button above each section preview.

Misc.

Here, you can add additional information you want to show on your receipts

Product label on receipts

This product label is printed on the receipts the platform creates for your customers. You can use it to describe the service you provide. For example, "Delivery" or "Moving".

Additional paragraph on receipts

This additional paragraph is printed below the line items on receipts the platform creates for your customers. You can use it to ask customers for feedback or to provide them with more information.
