This page explains how to configure basic business parameters in the Settings of MotionTools. Before configuring your business, we recommend reading the Introduction to the MotionTools Operating System and the Getting started with MotionTools article.
Overview
Have the following prerequisites been met?
A MotionTools tenant has been launched for you or by yourself. If you don't have your own tenant yet, please sign up on our website.
You have admin access to this tenant.
Define the Business details
This is the first section of the settings area. Please set your basic information about your business, such as your name, your legal entity, and so on. For more detailed information, you can read through the Define your Business details article.
Customize the Branding
In the Branding section, you can customize how your brand appears globally across the mobile apps and web pages your customers and drivers use. Upload your logo and colors to make MotionTools shine on your corporate identity. For more detailed information, you can read through the Adapt MotionTools to your Branding article.
Define Service areas
Next, you want to define the area where your business operates and characteristics of the business specific to that region. Read the Manage service areas article for more information on how to create, edit, and manage service areas.
Define Ops configurations
Define operational rules for each service area, the scheduling mode, booking parameters, opening hours, closed days, as well as customer and driver-related settings. Read Set up your ops configuration for more information.
Configure Booking services
Booking services are business offerings that customers choose when creating a Booking and that can be defined in the Booking services section of the settings. You can set dispatching and stop rules, select a service area where the service is offered, choose the ops configuration, set the required proof of completion, and the capabilities you want to offer. We will soon publish an article about how to configure Booking Services.
Edit Price matrix
Pricing enables an Operator to automatically calculate prices for Bookings and Packages based on a certain set of criteria such as distance, time, or service levels. When a payment method is enabled, you can edit the pricing matrix reflecting these criteria by uploading a CSV file in the Price Matrix section. For more detailed information, you can read through the Pricing article.
Contact the Customer Success team to turn on pricing features.
Configure Tour services
Tour services are used to create Tours and carry out customer Bookings. They are visible to admins, organizations, and drivers and can be defined in the Tour services section. You can set dispatching and stop rules, select a service area where the service is offered, choose the ops configuration, set the required proof of completion, and the capabilities you want to offer. We will soon publish an article about how to configure Tour Services.
