Customize Tour and Stop labels in the Driver App
Learn how to customize tour and stop labels in the Driver App—what label types exist and how to add, translate, reorder, edit, and delete them.
Introduction
Labels in the Driver App display key tour and stop information like total distance or required arrival times.
You configure them in the Dashboard under Settings > Driver experience, in the 'Tour and stop labels' section of two separate tabs:
- Off-route tour display sets the labels on tour cards across all lists (Pickable, Upcoming, Requests, Completed and Cancelled) and on the tour details screen.
- Active tour display sets the labels a driver sees while a tour is running: on the current stop, in the overview of the tour and on the details of a single stop.
Both tabs work the same way, and the rest of this article applies to either of them.
Changes display in the Tour card preview with sample data. After hitting Save, updates immediately appear in the Driver App.
What you can do with labels
Labels put the information that matters to your operation in front of drivers, right where they need it. A few examples:
- Confirm the order at the door. Add a stop label for the order number from the stop's metadata, so a driver can check it with the recipient at a glance.
- Prepare drivers for the stop. Show a customer tier or a delivery type from the stop's metadata, so drivers know what to expect before they arrive.
- Decide whether drivers see their pay. Add the Earnings and Tips labels to show drivers what they earn for a tour, or leave them out if you would rather not show pay in the app. Learn more in Introduction to Tour Compensation.
Available labels
By default, a driver sees the priority indicators and the total tour distance on a tour, and the priority indicators and the expected arrival time window on a stop. Outside an active tour, the scheduled time of the tour is shown as well. While working a tour, several stops at the same location are combined into a stop group and appear as a single stop, carrying a label with the number of stops it covers.
