What is an Admin?

An admin is a user role in MotionTools who sets up and manages the MotionTools Account on behalf of the Operator. Admins have access to all data and configuration options, can act on behalf of Customers, and can dispatch on behalf of Organization managers.


Who should have Admin rights?

The Admin role should be given to people who need to:

  • Oversee complete operations of the business and manage customers and partners

  • Access all data and configuration options

  • Act on behalf of customers and organization managers

This will typically be the owner/manager and the dispatchers. If a dispatcher should only manage one of the service areas and only some of the driver workforce, it is recommended to give them the Org Manager role instead of the Admin Role.

It's important to note that admin access should be granted carefully since admins have the highest level of permissions in the system
