This article explains what Organizations in MotionTools are and how they are used to optimize your operations.
Overview
What is an Organization?
An Organization represents a group of users, such as drivers, managers, and dispatchers, who work together under a shared team or company structure.
How are Organizations used in MotionTools?
Organizations provide a flexible structure for managing your operations, whether they represent internal departments or external partners such as supplier fleets or contracted couriers. Each Organization has its own managers, and managers can oversee multiple Organizations.
When you add an Organization as a managing Organization to Bookings, Organization Managers can build their own Tours. Alternatively, you can add managing Organizations only to Tours, which allows Organization Managers to either assign drivers to these tours or simply monitor operations on the ground.
Organizations help operators organize their workforce into dedicated sub-fleets by region or service area. They also enable operators to outsource tours to external fleets while maintaining control over how much authority they delegate to their fleet partners.
You can find and manage Organizations directly in the MotionTools Dashboard by opening up the Organizations page in the Navigation Bar.
