Custom Content: Instruction Templates

The Instructions feature allows predefined content templates to be attached to stops to communicate important information to drivers, such as an age verification instruction.

What are Instructions?

The Instructions feature is part of our Custom content feature that helps facilitate communication of important information to Drivers in the Driver App.

Instructions are pre-defined content (in other words, a template of a custom content element) that is attached to a stop, providing additional details about things to do for the driver at said stop - for example, verifying the recipient’s age.

Alongside instructions, you can still provide additional custom content for the stops. In such a case, the content for the instruction will be appended to the provided content.

How can Instructions be added to a Stop?

Right now, instructions can only be added via API, both on booking creation and when inserting a custom stop into a booking or a tour.

We currently only support one instruction, but will be adding more in the future.

Age verification

The age verification instruction ensures that a recipient is above the age of 18. This is especially relevant, as well as mandatory, for alcohol deliveries.

When this instruction is added, the driver will see a localized checklist on the stop. It has a single checkbox - "I confirm that I've checked the ID of the recipient is above the age of 18!". A driver must check it in order to complete a stop.
