Feature highlight: Collecting POD without a tour

๐Ÿ†• What's new

We're introducing the ability to collect Proof of Delivery (POD) for packages delivered without a tour, specifically during force-delivery or collection flows. POD requirements can be configured independently from services in the new โ€œOff-tour delivery settingsโ€ Dashboard section.

This feature is gradually rolling out and will be available within the next few weeks.

๐Ÿฆพ Why this is important

Previously, packages delivered without a tour had no linked POD, exposing tenants to potential claims from both recipients and senders. The new feature ensures that merchants and customers can receive proper delivery confirmation, regardless of how the package was delivered.

๐Ÿ”œ What's next

Our next planned improvement is to allow dispatchers to backfill POD on packages that were delivered without a tour.

More features and updates

๐Ÿšซ Cancelling Partially Dispatched bookings

One of our most anticipated features is now available โ€“ dispatchers can now cancel Partially Dispatched bookings. This makes a significant difference for tenants whose operations commonly deal with incomplete bookings, where cancellation is a standard procedure.

๐Ÿ“ Working with Saved Places in Quick Edit

We've improved how Saved Places can be added to a tour in Quick Edit. The Saved Place selector now supports search and pagination, making it easier to find the right Place. And when adding a Place, dispatchers have options to add it at the beginning of the route, at the end, or both the beginning and end. The latter feature is gradually rolling out and will be available on the Dashboard within the next few weeks.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Transition Failed packages back to Created

Previously, dispatchers could only transition failed packages to the At Hub status to make them available for redispatching. This didn't work well for packages that failed during pickup at their origin. Now, dispatchers can transition a failed package back to Created. This feature is gradually rolling out and will be available on the Dashboard within the next few weeks.

โคต๏ธ Packages CSV Export

Similar to the existing CSV export for bookings, dashboard users can now export package data as CSV from the packages page. This feature is gradually rolling out and will be available on the Dashboard within the next few weeks.

๐Ÿ“Š Updated Analytics page

The Analytics page has been updated to reflect that bookings can no longer be assigned directly to drivers. The split view now emphasizes tours and their related metrics. More tour-related analytics features are coming soon.

โšก Force delivery event on Package Journey

When a package is force-delivered due to a force-completed tour, the corresponding event now appears in the Package Journey, showing which user performed the action.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Pricing details in the Webbooker

For Booking services with payments enabled, you can now add a Pricing Details URL that appears next to the price in the Webbooker. This is useful for linking to detailed information about how the price is calculated.

๐Ÿ“ž Phone numbers and email addresses formatting

Weโ€™ve made several improvements to how we normalize emails and phone numbers provided by drivers and customers. Specifically, weโ€™ve implemented phone number auto-formatting to ensure compatibility with the masked communication feature, and we now remove invalid characters from email addresses during sign-up and password reset.
