In-app driver support and communication

Overview

This article explains the various options on how tenants can facilitate communication with drivers and provide support for them via the driver app. MotionTools offers options for in-app communication and/or assistance for Drivers via the Driver app. Read on to find out how this is currently supported.

 

Help section in side menu

The side menu of the driver app can feature a help section which includes regular weblinks that open up in a native webview, inside the driver app e.g. FAQ page or Hotline.

The help section is only configurable via the configurator and requires a new app release. Reach out to support@motiontools.com for more information.

 

Custom screens

Custom screens is a newly released feature that allows Tenants to configure new side menu links directly via the dashboard. This feature requires tenants to build a small service that delivers the content to the apps.

Third-party-integrations

Zendesk

The Zendesk help center can be integrated into the side menu, allowing drivers to view the help center and create requests via the driver app. This integration requires an app update. Reach out to support@motiontools.com for more information regarding this additional feature.

 

Intercom

Intercom can be integrated into the side menu, allowing drivers a live chat experience directly from the driver app. This integration requires an an app update and Intercom account to be set up. Reach out to support@motiontools.com for more information regarding this additional feature.

 

Messaging services

With messaging services like Braze or Firebase messaging, tenants can broadcast information or campaigns to a group of drivers in the form of pop-ups, in-app-notifications or push notifications instead of one-to-one messaging. The pop-ups can also include a linkout to allow the conversation to happen outside of the driver app e.g. the third party messaging platform.
