Add Area boundaries
Define the geographic boundaries of the service area. You can either upload a GeoJSON file or draw the area manually on the map.
⚠️ If you have multiple service areas, they shouldn't overlap!
Overlapping areas affect how bookings are tagged. A booking may be assigned to the wrong service area if boundaries overlap. Please read the How to verify Service areas don’t overlap article to learn more.
Create an area with a GeoJSON file
What is a GeoJSON file?
A GeoJSON file is a standardized format for representing geographic shapes and boundaries using coordinates. It is especially useful for complex shapes or when you need to precisely match existing territorial boundaries.
We recommend using geojson.io to create compatible files. Please continue with the How to create a GeoJSON file with geojson.io article if you want to learn more.
Click on Upload geoJSON and select the file you want to import. The area will appear on the Map.
Manually draw an area
Click + Add Polygon to add a simple rectangle. You can adjust the shape by moving points and corners.
You can only undo your last change, and individual points cannot be deleted. Use Delete polygon to remove the entire area.
Save the service area
After adding all required information, click Save.
